Junior Project Manager/ Contract Administrator MacBild Group is a bespoke construction company renowned for its unwavering dedication to excellence in delivering residential projects throughout Victoria and Queensland.

As we continue to expand our operations and take on exciting projects including high-end residential and NDIS projects, we are seeking a Junior Project Manager/Contracts Administrator to be a key part of our journey and to join our tight-knit team in our Melbourne head office.
Key Responsibilities: Project Planning and Scheduling: - Assist in developing and maintaining detailed project schedules.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other team members to ensure that project milestones are met.
- Participate in project planning meetings and document action items.
Documentation and Reporting: - Prepare and update project status reports, tracking project progress against schedules and budgets.
- Maintain project documentation, including contracts, change orders, permits, and meeting minutes.
- Help manage project files and ensure compliance with internal and client requirements.
Budget and Cost Control: - Assist in monitoring project expenses to ensure costs remain within budget.
- Support in processing invoices, managing purchase orders, and reviewing project financials.
- Identify and flag any potential budget overruns to the project manager.
Client and Stakeholder Communication: - Serve as a point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, providing updates as directed by senior project managers.
- Respond to inquiries and follow up on project-related requests.
Site Management: - Regularly visit job sites to monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Support in conducting site inspections and quality checks.
- Coordinate the resolution of on-site issues, escalating to the senior project manager when necessary.
- Assist in identifying potential project risks and contribute to the development of risk mitigation strategies.
- Monitor and report on risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and clients.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of solutions for project challenges.
Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, business administration.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in construction, project management, or related roles.
Skills: - Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, or Onsite Companion).
- Basic understanding of construction processes and terminology.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Adaptability and flexibility.
Physical Demands: - Regular visits to construction sites may be required.
- Ability to walk, climb, and inspect construction sites under various conditions.
