Our Opportunity PROK is currently recruiting for a Procurement Officer to support the procurement team in managing procurement activities, including sourcing suppliers, managing purchase orders, and assisting with contract formation. The position is a full-time permanent opportunity based in Bayswater, WA.
Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
Assist in the preparation and implementation of Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) Plans under the guidance of Procurement Manager. Support the procurement team with placing Purchase Orders for various needs, including Production and Engineering requirements. Expedite Purchase Orders and resolve supplier invoice queries. Participate in scope clarification for Purchase Orders, including formulating sourcing plans. Assist in assessing bids and making recommendations. Contribute to generating reports on key performance metrics. Learn and support the formation of contracts through competitive RFQ processes and direct negotiations. Work collaboratively with the team to consolidate and leverage company spend with selected suppliers. The Right Person To be considered for this opportunity, the right person will have:
Recent graduate in Procurement, Business Studies, or a related field. Some experience or internship in procurement, supply chain, or a related area is beneficial but not required. Ability to plan and prioritise workload in a fast paced, dynamic environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to learn and apply strategic evaluation and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail with a willingness to learn. Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment. Eagerness to collaborate with a wide range of people at all levels. Interest in developing negotiation skills and procurement knowledge. Self-motivated with a desire to work independently and as part of a team.
