The Junior Merchandise Planner will play a key role in supporting the buying and forecasting for Lorna Jane's Essentials product line and our large wholesale accounts.
This role will collaborate closely with the Merchandise Planner and cross-functional teams to optimise inventory, accurately forecast trends, and align product offerings with customer and wholesale partner needs.Responsibilities include:Assisting in the selection and purchasing of the Essentials product line, ensuring alignment with brand standards and customer preferences.Collaborating with the Merchandise Planner to develop and execute buying strategies that maximize sales and profitability.Monitoring and analysing sales performance, adjusting buys and inventory levels as needed to meet business objectives.Forecasting product demand for large wholesale accounts, ensuring adequate stock levels to meet customer needs.Partnering with the Sales and Planning teams to provide accurate sales forecasts and inventory recommendations.Analysing wholesale sales data and trends to inform future buys and identify opportunities for growth.Monitoring inventory levels and working with the planning team to manage stock replenishment and allocations.Identifying and resolving inventory discrepancies and working to minimize stockouts and overstock situations.Participating in the development and execution of markdown and promotional strategies.Maintaining stock levels and forecasting inventory needs whilst maintaining open to buy and working within allocated budget.Building and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of products and negotiating favourable terms.Generating and maintaining reports on sales performance, inventory levels, and other key metrics.What are we looking for?Experience in an administrative role in a retail businessStrong communication and negotiation skillsStrong Microsoft Excel skillsExcellent time management skillsExperience with vendor contract negotiations is highly desirableDetail orientedStrong analytical abilityResults orientedWhy Lorna Jane?Work with a creative and supportive teamEnjoy a culture of wellbeing (includes Breakfast daily and monthly fitness classes)Wear your activewear to work and receive a generous discount on our latest collectionsOn-site parking and Nourish CaféActivate your career - APPLY NOW!Other detailsJob family: HQPay type: SalaryApply now#J-18808-Ljbffr
