Junior Mechanical Engineer / Project Manager First established in 1976, JC Butko Engineering is now a leading Design, Fabrication and Installation provider of Mild and Stainless Steel solutions to many of Australia's most recognised companies.
Due to our continued growth and current projects, the opportunity exists for a highly motivated candidate to join an existing project design team delivering complex mechanical machines from concept through to reality.
We are looking for a Junior Mechanical Engineer / Project Manager to join our team in Albury Wodonga with an immediate start.
Role
In the role of Junior Mechanical Engineer your main duties and responsibilities include:
3D Modeling using AutoCAD and Inventor Producing shop fabrication drawings from sketches, client drawings and site measurement for a variety of process related infrastructure, machinery, tanks, vessels, pumps, components and structural steelwork.
Using Drafting and Design Software including AutoCAD, Inventor, Revit.
Designing machinery and components with the help of project managers, engineers and supplier information.
Value engineering and reality checking designs and drawings and assist with P&ID's Obtaining quotes for material and equipment Project Manage your own projects (managing timelines to ensure projects receive materials and equipment on time).
Continuously look at areas to improve efficiencies Quoting and Project Management of small projects.
Competent with AutoCAD / Inventor - Minimum 2 years experience Read and understand engineering drawings and fabrication methods Excellent time management and organisational skills Advanced Excel skills Strong communication skills as you will be constantly liaising directly with clients, sub-contractors, suppliers and all levels of staff.
Ability to adhere to strict deadlines and work in a team environment Flexible person who is prepared to take on a wide variety of tasks with a high level of enthusiasm and passion At least 3 years post degree experience in a mechanical / manufacturing engineering role or previous experience in the steel fabrication industry.
