The Role The Junior Engineer (Mechanical or Aerospace) will provide engineering services within to certify cargo load items for air transportation on fixed wing and rotary-wing transport aircraft. This role is based at Richmond Air Force Base in NSW.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Develop designs that are compliant with regulations and standardsConduct engineering analysis including structural integrity, structural joints, restraint, shock and vibrationConduct Verification & Validation activities including participation in and development of artefacts for aerial delivery trial activitiesProvide advice on aerial delivery requirementsConduct task planning and updatesConduct communication with external stakeholdersConduct review of technical artefactsContribute to ongoing continuous training and system improvements. Essential Requirements The below key requirements are required:
Be an Australian Citizen– essentialHold a current Australian Government Security Clearance (NV1 or higher)– essentialTertiary-level Engineering qualifications (Mechanical or Aerospace) – essentialIn addition, this role will require:0-2 years' experience in applying skills in a technical environment – preferably DefenceTechnical Skills – Possess strong analytical skills and applies critical and integrative thinking to develop solutions for complex problems.Autonomy - Has defined authority and accountability for actions and decisions within a significant broad engineering area of work.Influence - Initiates influential relationships with internal and external customers, suppliers, and partners at senior management level, including industry leaders. Makes decisions which impact the work of employing organisations, achievement of organisational objectives and financial performance.Complexity - Has a broad business understanding and deep understanding of own specialisation(s). Creatively applies a wide range of technical and/or management principles.Business Skills - Absorbs complex information and communicates effectively at all levels to both technical and non-technical audiences.
