About the Role The primary objective of the role is to work with the Quanta Services Australia legal team and support the Perth based Legal Manager in providing legal and commercial advice to Enscope on any legal matters relating to the businesses.
The scope of the role is both 'front-end' (i.e.
tendering, drafting, negotiating and executing of contracts) and 'back-end' (i.e.
management of issues which arise during the operational phase of the projects, including progression and resolution of disputes).
The role is not expected to involve the management of company secretarial or industrial relations matters, though support and input on discrete issues may be sought and provided from time to time.
The role also involves the administration and management of the Parent company's insurance program.
Key Accountabilities and experience required, but not limited to: Commercial and Contract ManagementMitigation of RiskEnsure compliance with legal and statutory recommendation.Resolution of Claims: Work with internal and external technical experts to assist with establishment and proof of claims and assist with strategic direction for progression and resolution of claims.Insurances: Provide advice and assistance in relation to policy cover, terms and conditions of insurance policies and related issues.Provide training to staff in relation to legal and commercial issues including contract law, contract conditions, project management and head contract and subcontract administration.Your Profile The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the below skills.2 - 8 years' legal experience in a similar role.Must hold current practicing certificate.Experience in contentious and non-contentious construction law.Good communication skills required for liaison with internal & external stakeholdersHighly organised, efficient and strong time management skills.Attention to detail and initiative in resolving issues through to resolutionBehaviours
