Probate, Estates, Wills and Enduring Power of AttorneyRetirement Village and Nursing Home AgreementsAbout the role We are looking for an entry-level Lawyer for our Wills & Estates team.
The role will include:
Running Probate, Wills & EPOA and Retirement Village files.Taking ownership of existing files and associated workload relating to the administration of Deceased Estates, Wills and Retirement Villages.Producing quality and accurate work.Keeping confidential all matters with respective clients.Building strong client and staff relationships.Delivering client-focused face-to-face service.Being personal and empathetic in dealing with clients during stressful times.Drafting Queensland Wills and EPOA, POA and Advanced Health Directives.Receiving and confirming instructions for basic Wills, EPOA's, POA and Advanced Health Directives.Reviewing and advising on Retirement Village Contracts.Liaising with various external bodies as required.Conducting searches, such as corporate, land title and personal property registry.Assisting with client interviews.Preparing New South Wales Enduring Powers of Attorney and Appointments of Enduring Guardian.Registering Enduring POA's with the Queensland Land Titles Office.Safe custody – upkeep, monitoring and releasing documents.Other tasks as directed.The successful candidate will have Admission as a Solicitor to the Supreme Court of Queensland.A Queensland Practicing Certificate (highly regarded).An interest in the Succession Act 1981 to attain a high level of skill in relation to the Probate and Wills area of law (highly regarded).An exceptional work ethic and willingness to go above and beyond.Be a team player but also be able to work autonomously.What we offer you Training - webinar and seminar opportunitiesWorking directly under supervision and be mentored by the Partner and Senior Associate.Perks including Staff wellness and firm social events.Extra incentives for the right candidate.No more corporate wardrobe clothing.Trendy Palm Beach eateries to lunch at.This is a position for a qualified Junior Solicitor.
