Are you an ambitious junior lawyer with a passion for health professional discipline work, administrative law, insurance defence, personal injuries and general insurance defence, media law, defamation and general civil litigation? The successful candidates will be provided the direct opportunity to be mentored by an experienced Partner and a Senior Associate whilst working on complex litigation, disputes and professional conduct disciplinary proceedings.

About the role Reporting into an industry leading Lawyer, your key responsibilities will include:
Researching technical information for current mattersGathering and analysing case facts while identifying legal issues and risksDrafting emails, correspondence, opinions, advice and legal documentation for use in court and tribunal proceedings.Providing general legal assistance to fee earners in the group as requiredPreparing counsel briefings and documents for court hearingsAttending in Courts and TribunalsTo succeed in this role, you will ideally have: 1-4 years post admission legal experienceProfessional conduct and discipline and personal injury defence experienceGeneral litigation experience is advantageousAn excellent academic record coupled with strong technical legal skillsA commitment to excellence and delivery of high-quality outcomes to our clientsAbility to effectively manage your own time, managing competing tasks and at times working to tight deadlinesStrong drafting skills with specific ability to draft court documents and affidavitsA team player mentality, with a supportive and collaborative working styleA self-motivated and "can-do" attitude with an eagerness to learn and grow your career with Piper AldermanAbout Us Piper Alderman is a premier commercial law firm with offices in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and Melbourne.
