Junior Hydrogeologist, Brisbane

In this Brisbane-based role, you'll work with our national Mine Water team as a Junior Hydrogeologist to support the team as they undertake hydrogeological assessments and successfully manage and contribute to projects with a hydrogeological focus.

We have a comprehensive understanding of the mining industry and current issues including decarbonisation and understand future ready strategies are critical to countering these issues, capitalising on opportunities, and adding value to businesses.
What you'll do:Coordinate design and documentation with other engineering services and with other team membersCarry out assigned project and design work as delegated in support of technical and commercial standardsPrepare reports for clients on matters relating to hydrogeologyCommunicate effectively with internal/external stakeholdersUndertake hydrogeological assessments including the interpretation of data, site investigation planning and coordination, conceptualisation, and reporting.Potential to undertake field work.Provide technical input into groundwater investigations, management, and impact assessments.Develop groundwater modelsDrafting technical reportsDrive innovation in our practice with new techniques, workflows, and ideas.About you:Bachelor's degree in Geology or GeosciencesExcellent technical report writing and data interpretation skills.Excellent interpersonal skills and verbal communications abilities.Experience delivering hydrogeological investigations is preferred.Exposure to a diverse range of groundwater modelling software and calibration utilities is preferredExperience using GIS and other software to visualise data and model outputs.About WSPWSP is one of the world's leading engineering professional services firms, bringing together approximately 6,000 talented people across 15 offices in Australia.
