About this roleJoin our Sydney finance team as a Junior Financial Accountant, supporting ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and journal entries. Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, you'll receive mentorship and opportunities to grow in our dynamic fintech environment. Ideal for those with a strong accounting foundation aiming to advance their career.
Some of the responsibilities include:
Financial Operations: Perform bank and credit card reconciliations, manage accounts payable (including reimbursements and expense claims), and process daily financial transactions accurately.Communication & Support: Liaise with suppliers regarding accounts payable and assist team members, particularly the Financial Accountant and Senior Financial Accountant.Reporting & Compliance: Help prepare monthly and year-end financial reports, including data for BAS, and contribute to budgets and forecasts.System Maintenance & Ad-Hoc Tasks: Maintain accurate general ledger records in Xero and undertake various tasks to support the broader finance team.A bit about youAt least 1-3 years of experience in an accounting roleStrong understanding of accounting principles (AASB/IFRS accounting standards).Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)At Stake, we value hustle over honours degrees, so we're more interested in you than your resume.
