Junior Estimator - Tier 3 Commercial Builder - Cremorne

Junior Estimator (1 - 3 years)Commercial Building Projects $5 - 50M$80 - 100K PackageBackground:Atlas Recruitment have partnered with a well renowned Tier 3 Builder on a search for a Junior Estimator to be based from their office in the Richmond/Cremorne area.Our client has been established for more than 20 years and are known for delivering Apartment, Health & Mixed commercial projects up to $50M.Key ResponsibilitiesWork closely with Directors and project managers to understand project requirements.Assess tender documents, conduct site inspections, and utilize software for accurate calculations.Source subcontractors and suppliers, prepare tender schedules, and compile documentation for submissions.Negotiate pricing contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.Prepare detailed take-offs and material quantity estimates.Assist in analysing project plans and specifications to determine project costs.Collaborate with project team to ensure estimates align with project goals.Maintain accurate records of all estimates and supporting documentation.Handle documentation efficiently, including Works Orders, Purchase Orders, and contract-related materials.Stay updated on industry trends and market conditions to make informed decisions.About YouBachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or related fieldMinimum 3 years of Estimating experience within constructionDemonstrated experience estimating projects over $5M in value.Experience with government project/schools & apartment projects is a bonus!Proficiency in relevant software and computer systems, such as Microsoft Excel, Bluebeam Revu, AconexSelf-starter, mature-minded and thrives in an autonomous environmentStrong work ethic and a desire to learn and grow in the construction industry.For more information you can get in touch with Liam Glynn on or ATLAS Recruitment are specialists in recruitment for the Construction, Engineering Infrastructure & Manufacturing industries on a national basis.To stay up to date with industry news and jobs you can;Search more of our jobsFollow us on LinkedIn
