West Technology is proud to be partnering with an exciting start-up in the CBD who are going through huge growth.
You'll be coming into a start-up environment which will double in size soon where you'll be integral to this growth.
This role requires 5 days in the CBD office per week.
About Your New Role
The Engineer will run all systems administration, sitting within the IT Project Technology team.
You'll work alongside both cyber and operational technology teams where you'll be working in an all-round Systems Admin cloud-only environment.
Your role is to support the business while it's in its early stages, so a 'can-do' and proactive attitude is essential.
The remit is wide and deep and requires an enthusiastic and passionate individual that will take on new and diverse challenges.
Key tasks include:
Help build a brand new ServiceDesk environment to assist with the testing and transitioning of new services and technology into operations.
Enthusiasm to learn and deliver outcomes that are tightly aligned to the Microsoft and Azure ecosystem.
Assist to evolve processes with new technology and operation manuals and 'HowTo' Guides.
Work with various business units and their Document Controllers to ensure that the right people are getting access to the right data.
Manage queue of tickets and triage incoming requests and expedite to appropriate resolver groups.
Assist to test and validate new technologies are working as designed, provide feedback and maintain register of known issues or improvements.
Assist with maintaining various IT Registers for service improvement, risk assurance, compliance, and reporting business obligations.
Work closely with both internal and external workforce, that will grow and change as further new technologies and services are introduced.
Willingness to learn on the job from extensive ecosystems of technologies and service providers.
About You
IT industry related Qualifications such as computer science or IT.
Microsoft skills and experience are highly preferred.
Cybersecurity industry and technology vendor experience is beneficial.
Previous experience in HelpDesk.
Working knowledge of ServiceDesk processes.
Ability to work with multiple business unit stakeholders, integrators, technology vendors, and managed service providers.
Knowledge of and experience with working across multiple technology domains.
Strong presentation and communication skills.
Ability to work across both greenfield/start-up initiatives.
Keen to work on modern tooling and be involved in special projects – lab simulation / airlock / Python etc.
