About the Position: Our client is seeking a passionate and dedicated Junior Employment Lawyer to join their Brisbane Workplace Relations, Employment, and Safety (WRES) team. This role provides a fantastic opportunity to work in a leading practice for both ER/IR and Safety, under the guidance of highly recognized partners. As a WRES Lawyer, you will offer comprehensive legal advice and representation on a variety of employment-related matters, including employment advisory, general protections, unfair termination, enterprise bargaining, and work health and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Advisory Services: Provide legal advice on employment-related matters, including contracts, workplace policies, and compliance with employment legislation.
Litigation Support: Assist in employment law litigation, drafting pleadings, preparing briefs, and attending hearings.
Client Liaison: Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a point of contact for employment law queries and delivering tailored legal solutions.
Document Preparation: Draft and review employment contracts, policies, and other legal documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Research: Conduct legal research on various employment law issues and provide well-reasoned opinions and memoranda.
Training and Development: Attend professional development sessions and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives within the team.
Key Requirements:
Admission to practice law in Australia
3 years of post-qualification experience in employment law
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
A proactive and collaborative approach to work
