About the position:
Nurses are at the heart of our team, and so much of what our team can achieve for our patients is largely due to our talented nursing team.
We are now accepting applications for Junior Emergency and Critical Care Nurses to join our brand-new facility, working closely with Criticalist, Dr Iain Keir, Critical Care Registrar, Dr Megan Collins, and their experienced team of emergency vets.
This team is offering full-time, permanent positions, with part-time considered for the right person.
Our emergency team operates 24 hours, 7 days so availability to work a variety of shifts is required.
About You:
We are looking for passionate Nurses who can work independently, with a reliable, adaptable, and proactive approach to your work.
We are looking for team members with the following skills:
A keen interest in Emergency and critical care with a strong desire to work closely with our patients throughout their entire SASH journey.An ability to remain calm under pressure, while maintaining effective decision-making skills.Be able to confidently and effectively triage patients.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Experience in anaesthesia and ventilation is highly regarded.
Weekly anesthesia training is provided to nurses seeking to increase their knowledge of these skills.Commitment to continuous personal development. To be considered for this position, applicants must have: Completed a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.A minimum of 2 years of full-time experience as a qualified nurse.Previous experience in emergency care would be highly regarded but not essential.No experience in emergency?
