Medical and Dental InsuranceClark Office-basedHigh Competitive SalaryAs a 'McNab Junior Draftsperson' (Windows and Doors), your primary role is to prepare project specific Façade shop drawings that capture the complete contracted scope of works for submission and approval by Architects, Consultants and Builders. The set of shop drawings will include General Notes, Floor Plans, Product Schedules, Sectional Details and Installation Set Outs as a minimum. All shop drawings will be prepared following the 'McNab Façade Drafting Procedures' and utilising various 'McNab CAD Libraries' and Templates.
You will work together with one of our more senior 'Façade Draftspersons' on projects who is accountable to the 'Façade Drafting Team Leader'. The 'Façade Drafting Team Leader' will liaise with the 'Façade Design Manager' on project specific requirements and will be allocated timeframes to ensure timely submissions are achieved based on the projects program. Submission dates are non-negotiable and need to be met.
Your Capabilities:Review, interpret and comprehend project architectural and structural drawings.Prepare shop drawings relating to building facades accurately and to program.Have a keen eye for detail and be capable of generating precise and consistent drawings.You will jointly work with and under the supervision of a more senior Façade Draftsperson.Able to communicate in a clear and qualified manner with other Team members.Maintain CAD libraries and templates.Computer Skills:Experienced in AutoCAD 2D software for shop drawing preparation and the ability to follow our standard internal drawing office procedures. AutoCAD 3D or similar software knowledge would be useful but not necessary. Competent in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams and basic PDF software's.
Personal Traits:Firstly, and most importantly, you must have the right attitude.Have an enthusiastic desire to learn and an appetite for knowledge.Are self-motivated, proactive and focused.Ideally an architectural graduate (or similar) that wants to specialise within the construction industry.Be punctual and exercise time management.Able to meet deadlines and work under pressure, at times, with minimal fuss.Work cohesively with other Team members.This is a full-time permanent position of 40 hours a week plus reasonable overtime as and when projects require. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 15:00pm to better align with Australian office hours.
