Your role As a Junior Cyber Security Operations Analyst, you will play a vital role in safeguarding the Agency's systems, users, and data. Key Responsibilities:Conduct monitoring, investigation, and mitigation of security incidents using tools like Microsoft Defender 365, Azure Security Centre, IntSights, and Splunk.Analyse security event data to detect suspicious/malicious activity across networks and systems.Execute incident response activities as directed, adhering to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Escalate complex incidents and collaborate with Subject Matter Experts as necessary.Conduct and manage phishing simulations to enhance security awareness.Research emerging threats and vulnerabilities relevant to the Agency's threat landscape.Perform log analysis and develop visualisations and reports using Splunk.Collaborate with Security Operations and IT engineers to deploy and manage security controls.Demonstrate ability to work autonomously under broad direction and quickly acquire knowledge across various technologies.This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the cyber resilient information technology platforms and support strategic objectives.
