About Us Youngster.co is a social enterprise startup with a purpose. We believe in the power of community and technology to bridge generational gaps.
The Youngster.co program brings young people and seniors together in shopping centres, libraries, community centres, and other locations for intergenerational tech help sessions. Youngsters provide personalised tech help for seniors, including how to use their phone, do video calls, connect on social media, etc.
Location This role is for our program at Wagga Wagga Marketplace.
The Role We are looking for people aged 16 and over who are friendly, patient, and comfortable with everyday technology to assist senior members of the community with basic tech skills. We have roles for regular Youngsters to assist people with technology, as well as Lead Youngsters who help set up and coordinate the sessions with our Community Manager.
Key Responsibilities Assist seniors with tech-related queries and issues, such as smartphone, tablet, or computer troubleshooting. Foster a friendly, respectful, and supportive environment for both seniors and youngsters. Promote Youngster.Co's values and mission within the community. Contribute ideas and feedback to continually improve our sessions and outreach. For Lead Youngsters Provide guidance to fellow youngster volunteers in their interactions with seniors. Liaise with the Community Manager to ensure all sessions are running smoothly and effectively. Benefits By joining the Youngster.co team you will:

Ideal Candidate We don't require you to have any specific qualifications or previous work experience. What we look for is:
Passion for technology and willingness to share knowledge. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work with diverse age groups and backgrounds. Commitment to Youngster.Co's mission and values. Regular Youngsters need to be a minimum of 16 years old. Lead Youngsters need to be a minimum of 18 years old and have a valid Working With Children Check, and in some cases also a National Police Check. Youngster.co is an equal opportunity employer. Pay: $26.00 – $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 2 per week
