As we continue our journey in helping all Australians, we now have a position for a Junior Buyer to join our Merchandise Team.
Under the guidance of a Buyer you are accountable for a category within General Merchandise. You will help deliver profitable sales through deep knowledge of our customer needs, achieved by building supplier relationships and executing the customer centric category strategy.
The role is a hybrid role and we work in the office Monday to Wednesday! Key Responsibilities: With the support of the category Buyer you will be given responsibility to manage a small category line and will also provide overall support to the Buyer and the broader category. Delivery of KPI's of Sales & Profit to Budget for your assigned category. Bring new concepts and opportunities to the business in line with the TRS strategy. Manage risk & opportunities and clearly communicate opportunities & business challenges. Manage supplier relationships with Buyer. Develop long term, collaborative Supplier partnerships to improve customer experience and reduce costs. Development of sourcing strategies to enable lowest cost. Engage in supplier negotiations. Buying Support and Sample administration The preferred candidate will have the following experience and attributes: We're looking for a person with minimum 2 years' experience in a retail Merchandise role, with proven experience in managing a small category.
