This position reports to:
Project Operations Manager
Your role and responsibilities ABB is setting up a new manufacturing facility in Maryborough, on the Fraser Coast of QLD, to support the QTMP project.

In this role, you'll have the chance to help the unit achieve production targets by following established systems and processes.
Each day, you'll operate machinery and equipment on the shop floor and demonstrate your skills by reading and interpreting technical diagrams and instructions for assembling Traction Converters.

The work model for the role is: Onsite.
This role is contributing to the Traction division in Maryborough, QLD.
Main stakeholders are the Traction teams in Australia and Switzerland.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Conducting all types of assembly work to produce semi-finished or final products/systems/panels, including the packing where integrated with production lines.
Performing work manually or by using light hand tools.
Carrying out regular quality testing as part of a defined production process.
Operating within standard operating procedures and maintaining a clean work area.
Qualifications for the role Certificate II in Electrotechnology (preferred but not essential).
The ability to interpret Technical Drawings.
Ability to follow instructions and work to plans plus the ability to learn and retain knowledge.
Able to work in a factory environment which might involve heat, repetitive tasks, long periods of standing and bending over while handling parts, tools and other equipment.
A "Can Do" attitude and willingness to be flexible to get the job done.
