Purpose of PositionWe are seeking a dynamite professional to play an active role in all areas relating to the daily operations of the Accounts Department, using established accounting processes in the areas of timesheet calculation, payroll, external invoice payment, issuing invoices, receiving payment and creating reports.
GeneralKey Responsibilities: Assisting in daily banking requirements.Maintain thorough and accurate record-keeping and accounting systems by using current in-house technology.Calculate timesheets, assist in preparing payroll for employees, and respond to queries in relation to accrued leave, holiday pay, superannuation and other relevant matters.Respond to account and invoice queries as they arise.Resolve accounting ad hoc issues such as misplaced entries and invoices on systems.Ensuring the accurate and timely processing of positive pay transactions.Monitor and manage the accounts receivable portfolio, ensuring the timely collection of outstanding debts.Commit to sustaining a culture of quality management and continuous improvement, including staff training and personal development.Commit to the Simply Helping Code of Conduct, policies and procedures and the compliance requirements of service user programs (NDIS/HCP/TAC).Other administrative duties as required by the Line Manager.Workflow and Compliance: Abide by proper accounting methods, policies and principles. This will include compliance with established systems and procedures, initiation of corrective actions and providing recommendations to the Head of Accounts where appropriate.Maintain compliance and accuracy. This involves cooperating with the accounts manager to ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met and efficient workflow is maintained.Where necessary, seek clarification from the Line Manager for handling of non-routine reporting transactions.Reporting external or internal grievances in line with the reporting structure.Skills/Attributes: Strong workload management ability.Clear communication and ability to develop rapport with colleagues, service users and other stakeholders.Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.Strong ethical standards and personal integrity.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required.High attention to detail and accuracy.Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge: Qualification in Accounting.Proficient in accounting software, specifically MYOB.Advanced computer skills in MS Office.#J-18808-Ljbffr
