About the Role
As the Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring that the Hotel financial reports are prepared accurately on a timely basis.
Working in a team of 5, you will support the Director of Finance in ensuring the day to day operations as well as supporting the team to achieve our purpose.
The varied and dynamic role provides a chance to develop your professional Accounting career within an international company; either in Australia or overseas.
Some of the responsibilities include:
Preparation of monthly financial reports to tight deadlines
Assist with the Accounts Receivable processing, reporting and collection
Prepare reconciliations of General Ledger accounts
Prepare and distribute the monthly financial statements
Obtain approvals and process all invoices
Assist with budgeting and forecasting
Assist with external auditors as required
Assist with ASIC compliance regulatory requirements
Assist with all tax matters with ATO & SRO
Daily clearing of cheques and receipts per Bank statements
Qualifications
What you will bring to the role
Bachelor of Commerce is preferred
Previous work experience in a similar position
A strong attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills
The ability to work well under pressure
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Effective time management skills to achieve set deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential
