Location – Sydney CBD Temporary part-time role (17.5 hours per week) up to 6 months, with the possibility of being converted to ongoing part-time. Salary ranging from $74,050 to $125,521. (Pro rata) Plus, employer contribution to superannuation (11%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) Your role As the Judicial Support Research Officer, you will be responsible for undertaking research and drafting policy on issues of a legal, legislative or administrative nature, as required by the Judges and Registrar of the Dust Diseases Tribunal of NSW (DDT). You will also undertake and report on complex projects and provides high-level support services to the Judges and Registrar of the DDT. What you'll do As part of the Dust Diseases Tribunal team, you will have experience building relationships and working with stakeholders at all levels. You'll manage multiple competing priorities whilst displaying high levels of confidentiality. You will also have high level of attention to detail and the ability to complete tasks to a high standard. What we're looking for Tertiary Qualifications in Law and admitted (or eligible to be admitted) to the legal profession under the Legal Profession Act 2004 NSW or a corresponding law. Demonstrated ability to develop policy in a legal environment and to quickly develop a thorough understanding of the legislation and legal principles that governs the procedures of the jurisdiction. Ability to prepare written and oral advice on legal, legislative and administrative matters.
