About Us Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission.
Collectively, Victoria's Supreme, County, Magistrates', Children's, and Coroners courts, the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), the Judicial College of Victoria, the Judicial Commission of Victoria, and Court Services Victoria (CSV) are referred to as the 'Courts Group'.
People Services provide core human resources functions, ensuring Courts Group has productive work systems and modern workplaces.
People Services design and implement programs that support work performance and the health, safety, and wellbeing of judicial officers and members and employees.
About the Role Offered on a 12-month fixed term basis, the position operates within a complex, demanding and sensitive environment that is required to provide authoritative and technical advice, exercise sound judgement and operate with excellent organisational skills.
This role is accountable for the facilitation of all VCAT member appointments and reappointments and work closely with VCAT Executive Directors, the President's Chambers, Heads of Division and/or List (HOD/HOL) and Senior Managers to provide high quality HR advice and services to facilitate the Member workforce.
Key accountabilities include: Working closely with the Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS), Attorney General's Office and the President's Chambers to manage the coordination of the VCAT Members recruitment, appointments and reappointment processes.Working with all jurisdictions across Courts Group to support the appointment and reappointment of Judicial Officers.Partnering senior leaders at VCAT and people leaders to support the implementation of initiatives relating to Members, including initiatives and process improvements that drive service delivery for VCAT members.Working closely with the VCAT Strategic Member Partner to contribute to the development and lead the implementation of VCAT Members strategic people plan.Accurately performing end to end payroll functions including on-boarding new judicial, member and executives, fortnightly processing of payroll requests, and ensuring all service requests are updated and processed to meet agreed time standards.Generating and providing accurate data and reporting to internal and external stakeholders as per legislative requirements and requests.Drafting memos, executive contracts and acting assignments as required in a timely manner.About You Demonstrated strong analytical skills with proficiency in interpreting and understanding applicable legislations (Judicial Remuneration Tribunal Act 1995, Judicial Entitlements Act 2015, Public Administration Act 2004).Demonstrated stakeholder management experience with an executive or judicial cohort is preferable.How to apply Click the 'Apply Now' button, ensuring you include the following in your application:
