About the role
JPS Medical Recruitment is seeking an experienced Psychiatrist to provide specialised care for older adults in rural Queensland. This full-time opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on the lives of patients within a supportive and collaborative environment.
What you'll be doing
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and provide evidence-based treatment plans for older adult patients Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to deliver holistic, patient-centred care Provide expert consultation, advice and support to general practitioners and other healthcare providers Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures Participate in continuing professional development activities to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in geriatric psychiatry What we're looking for
Registration as a Specialist Psychiatrist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Extensive experience in the assessment and treatment of older adult patients with psychiatric conditions Strong clinical skills, including the ability to diagnose, treat and manage a range of mental health disorders Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with patients, families and other healthcare professionals A demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development and a passion for delivering high-quality, evidence-based care What we offer
