Job Description As a Journeyperson HVAC at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge your care and attention to detail will ensure that our guests have a memorable stay in the Canadian Rockies.

Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly serviceFollow departmental policies, procedures and service standardsResponsible for all HVAC related trade work at the Fairmont Jasper Park LodgeResponsible for the installation, repair and maintenance of all HVAC equipmentPreventative maintenance of equipment pertaining to HVACEnsure all work done in the HVAC department is in compliance with federal and provincial codes and regulationsEnsure all power tools are in good and safe working conditionsMust be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule based on volume of businessTrain and assist the shift maintenance colleaguesAssist other trades as they relate to HVAC maintenanceCommunicate effectively and professionally with both guests and colleaguesAdhere to the hotel's vehicle handling and safety policies while driving hotel and guest vehiclesOther duties as assignedQualifications Your experience and skills include: High school and/or technical school education requiredProvincial Journeyperson's certificate for Province of Alberta requiredBackground HVAC experience or general knowledge of the trade requiredProficient in Microsoft Windows applications required (Word, Excel & Power Point)Gas Fitting Ticket an assetValid Alberta driver's license requiredExcellent communication and organizational skillsStrong interpersonal and problem solving abilitiesHighly responsible & reliableAbility to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervisionAbility to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all timesYour team and working environment: Fast-paced, upscale, luxury hotelClose proximity to Marmot Basin Ski Resort in winter and world-renowned hiking trails in summerHospitality employees worldwide making this a great place to develop lifelong connectionsStanding: 4-8 hr/daySitting: 4-8 hr/dayWalking: 4-8 hr/dayBending/reaching: 4-8 hr/dayPushing/pulling: 4-8 hr/dayPhysical effort: high – must be able to lift up to 40 lbsEnvironmental Stress: busy atmosphere, working inside and outsideAdditional Information Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
