About the Role
As a Journey Expert, in our Home Loans Business Unit, you'll play a key role in helping to provide our Home Loan customers with great experiences by offering easy-to-use products and services. Youu will be part of a Program team, providing support and helping to drive the effective delivery of a key strategic initiative across the Home Loans Portfolio and partner Businesses. With a focus on completing a range of business analysis activities that support implementation, change and delivery of new or enhanced systems, processes, policies, and features.
Our Journey Expert roles offer you not only the flexibility and variety within the realm of Project Delivery, but also the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities outside of this domain. You may be asked to contribute your skills to other teams that support different aspects of the Home Loans business, providing you with a chance to develop a broader understanding of the industry and develop new skills. Rest assured that ongoing guidance and support will be provided as you take on these additional responsibilities.

What will your day look like? As a Journey Expert, you will:
Identify the scope and capacity to deliver each deliverable before providing inputs into the overall delivery roadmap and plan
Gather and translate business needs into consumable requirements. This includes leading elicitation workshops, analysis, specification, and validation of requirements, as well as by understanding feasibility and potential impact
Define business requirements for technical developers, translating business needs into technical requirements that developers can use to create and modify the application
Identify and analyse impacted business processes, including understanding of as-is and to-be process Create new and update existing process maps where necessary using Signavio and obtain appropriate process owner approvals
Undertake analysis in collaboration with stakeholders to fully comprehend problem statement/s, to deliver and playback future state options where MVP / iterations have been defined
Source and utilise data to (in)validate assumptions throughout and after delivery. Seek guidance and support from Data Analysts, where required
Engage with stakeholder throughout the delivery lifecycle, sharing updates, seeking feedback, and responding to feedback
Ensure potential and active risks and issues are captured, assessed, managed, and mitigated in a timely manner
Work with squads and stakeholders to translate high level goals into detailed plans, business impacts, communications, Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and change interventions, then preparation and execution of those plans
Plan, facilitate and manage testing activity for your deliverables, such UAT, BVT, DRH
What will you bring? To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Experience across various delivery functions, such as business analysis, risk management and implementing change
Excellent interpersonal, active listening and influencing skills – you need to be comfortable asking questions, raising concerns, and constantly thinking about our customers
Strong stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills
Strong business analysis skills leveraging structured thinking, determining success measures through data analysis
Excellent problem-solving skills, you can find clear paths through ambiguity and making decisions within broad direction and boundaries
An eye for detail - as a member of a team responsible for analysis and writing requirements, your willingness to iteratively improve precision and clarity is paramount
Familiarity with agile delivery, data modelling, sequence diagrams, process mapping and / or complex integration requirements
Experience in translating requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria
Ability to proactively identify and assessing risks and complying with risk management processes and policies
Ideally, exposure to home lending or related financial services domains and systems
