About The Role Reporting to the Chief Aviation Engineer, this position is responsible for carrying out aviation maintenance and delivery for Kimberley Aircraft Maintenance (KAM), who operate as the aviation maintenance provider within Horizontal Falls Seaplane Adventures. This role will carry out work predominantly on our fleet of 6 Cessna 208 Amphibious Aircraft as well as our Wipline 8000 and 8750 series floats. This is a full-time permanent position based in Broome, WA.
Key responsibilities will include:
Carrying out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft to ensure airworthiness; In conjunction with the Chief Engineer, continuously enhance fleet service, maintenance, and repair programs to improve the efficiency, reliability, and presentation of the fleet; Troubleshooting and providing corrective actions to ensure that the aircraft maintain airworthiness, reporting any defects or faults through the appropriate channel; Effective management of tasks as delegated by the Chief Engineer, ensuring all tasks are completed within the operational plan; Accurate compliance record keeping in alignment with CASA requirements; Performing all duties safely and effectively, adhering to company procedures (SMS and CPPM) and WHS requirements. About You You will have a proactive and solutions-focused approach with a 'can-do attitude' and are someone who thrives in a dynamic, busy working environment. You will be reliable, have a strong work ethic, and be a team player. We are looking for someone with previous work experience as an AME, with experience working on C208 aircraft advantageous. Progress toward obtaining a B1 License and/or PT6 series license is highly desirable. The ability to hold an ASIC and pass a drug and alcohol screening (DAMP) is a requirement of this role.
