What this opportunity involves:
Our Project & Development Services (PDS) business line has a key role in managing and delivering Minor and Capital works projects.
As Assistant Project Manager (APM), you will work on a specific program of works for our client, involving the refresh/modernisation/upgrade of sites across Australia.
You will be expected to contribute to the tasks below and also validate and oversee deliverables produced by Project Coordinators.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Ensure monthly project deliverables are completed, including delivery plans, status reports, cost reports, and meeting agendas. Establish project budget and overall project programme to ensure successful delivery in accordance with client requirements. Chair weekly project meetings and prepare PCG (Project Control Group) reports and RFP (Request for Proposal). Be involved with value engineering, buildability analysis, and critically review design and documentation to maximise outcomes. Contract administration of all vendors in a professional manner. Represent the best interests of the client from inception to completion of projects. Seek possible opportunities to include other JLL business lines. Foster relationships with existing clients to increase JLL's profile and exposure. Create an environment where all team members are encouraged and motivated to contribute. Maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders and communicate via actions and example. Seek advice and collaborate with senior staff in exploring solutions to problems that may arise. Confidence to manage project delivery from inception to closure. Experience in managing cost reporting systems. Understanding of the legal environment within projects with respect to planning, commercial aspects, and delivery constraints. Ability to carry out commercial negotiations with contractors, suppliers, consultants, and authorities. Willingness to assist in preparing project proposals and delivering presentations to secure new work opportunities. Detailed understanding of different project delivery methods. Degree in a relevant Project or Construction Management related discipline or related field and 3 years' experience, or a combination of formal education and experience exceeding 8 years, 3 of which must be related to design, construction, or project management. As the work is with our Federal Government accounts, you will need to comply with the statutory regulations:
Australian Citizen - in order to undergo and maintain at minimum a Baseline Clearance successfully.
