Cranbrook Workshop specialises in custom joinery and cabinetry, balancing modern carpentry technologies with care and craft. We provide all types of joinery from simple solutions to more highly articulated interior designer-led treatments. Working directly with interior designers and architects, we are always keen to integrate new materials and develop interesting details.
Part of the Robert Plumb Collective, and newly merged with Captive Cabinetmaking, Cranbrook Workshop is in a growth phase with a strong pipeline of upcoming projects and we are currently looking for a full-time Joinery Estimator to join the team.
About the roleWorking closely with the Director and senior members of the cabinet making team, the Joinery Estimator will be responsible for producing detailed and accurate costings and estimates for our custom cabinetry projects.
Responsibilities include:Management of the estimate/costing process, including evaluation, analysis, preparation, and submission of accurate project estimates and documentation.Proven ability to interpret and evaluate architectural plans and drawings for the purposes of estimation.Understand workshop production schedules.Sourcing and management of all suppliers.Incorporate effective project management principles across all aspects of the role.Develop and maintain strong relationships with the team, peers, clients, architects, contractors, and suppliers.Continuously develop knowledge of new building principles, methods of construction, and innovation in the industry.About youMeticulous attention to detail with strong proficiency in mathematical concepts and calculations.Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Solution focused problem-solving ability.Organised, with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.Your qualifications & experienceExperience in a similar estimating role, in woodworking, cabinet making or joinery.Proficient in Office 365 (Office/Excel/Outlook), plus industry based project management and estimating software, online databases, forms, apps, etc.Qualifications in quantity surveying or construction management beneficial.For more information, and to view our projects please visit www.cranbrookworkshop.com.au and www.robertplumbcollective.com.au.
