The focus of this diverse role will be to assess and quote on works and engage, coordinate and manage trades during the restoration process for insurance claims.
You will be responsible for providing regular repair progress updates to customers and ensuring a high level of service is provided at all times.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a stable and secure company that values its people above all else!We Offer :Immediate startSupport & guidance from experienced managersRespected organisation with stability & securityA positive & rewarding team cultureFuture career progression where great work is recognised & rewardedUp to date technology & a modern office environmentKey Duties & Responsibilities :Write building insurance assessment reports for insurance companiesEstimate for building re-instatement worksEngage, coordinate & manage trades during the restoration process for buildings damaged by insurable eventsCommunicate & negotiate with trades to track the progress of jobsLiaise between insurance companies & insured partiesCoordinate access to properties with insured partiesDispute & issue resolution, as requiredEnsure all work conforms to legislative & contractual OH&S requirementsEnsure all inspections, certificates of final inspection from Building Surveyor & all relevant documentation is signed offRegular travel around Townsville & surrounding areasKey Selection Criteria :Extensive & varied experience within the construction industryRelevant building trade qualification, preferably in carpentryInsurance building and / or commercial construction backgroundLocal industry relationships ideal, however not essentialExcellent communication & customer service skillsStrong work ethic & be highly motivatedAbility to manage multiple & competing prioritiesAbility to be empathetic to the needs of the clientStrong computer skillsWell presentedFamiliarity with OHS practices, legislation & regulationsFamiliarity with current market rates & tradesCurrent motor vehicle licencePlease note : A medical and police check will make up part of the recruitment process.
