Jockeys / Apprentices For The Nt

Thoroughbred Racing NT (TRNT), with headquarters in Darwin and Alice Springs, is seeking expressions of interest from either senior riders or apprentice jockeys to relocate to the Northern Territory.
Consideration will be given to three or six-month stints, or longer term or full-time relocation. Apprentices will be indentured to TRNT and paid as per the Pay Guide – Horse and Greyhound Training Award 2010. Some relocation costs (on application to TRNT) will be met, and successful applicants will be assisted with accommodation costs.
Weekly race meetings in Alice Springs and Darwin, with $300 per ride (plus super) on offer, the highest paid in Australia.
Additional work is available if required.
Ideally, we look to start in early January 2025, with the Alice Springs Cup Carnival (March-early April) and the Darwin Cup Carnival (July-early August) fast approaching.
