Role Overview:
The Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of both accounts payable and accounts receivable teams, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and receipts. The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and customers to maintain financial accuracy and improve operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision & Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a small team of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Officers. Provide training, guidance, and support to ensure optimal team performance. Accounts Payable: Oversee the processing of vendor invoices, ensuring proper documentation, approvals, and timely payments. Monitor aging reports and manage supplier relationships to resolve any disputes or issues. Accounts Receivable: Supervise the invoicing process, ensuring accuracy and adherence to payment terms. Monitor customer accounts, follow up on overdue payments, and assist in debt collection efforts when necessary. Banking: Oversee receipting and perform associated bank reconciliations. Month-End & Year-End: Collaborate with the finance team to ensure all accounts payable and receivable transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled for month-end and year-end financial closing processes. Analysis: Assist in preparing financial reports, providing insights into cash flow, aging reports, and outstanding balances. Work with management to improve cash flow and collection strategies. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline and improve existing processes and controls. Qualifications & Skills:
A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable and receivable functions, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role. Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders. #J-18808-Ljbffr
