Administration Officer – Safety in Practice
Support the delivery of safe quality professional experience placements. Coordinate compliance requirements for students to ensure they meet the requirements. Ongoing, part-time (0.8FTE) role based in Launceston. About the opportunity
The Administration Officer SiP will deliver a wide range of administrative and support service functions and contribute to a student-focused Safety in Practice service. The role will include administrative support to the Manager Safety in Practice and Immunisations Nurses; receiving and triaging student enquiries for management by the appropriate SiP team member; coordination of the SiP professional experience placement compliance program for the College of Health and Medicine; data entry in the University's Placement Management System 'InPlace'; and providing advice and guidance to students to ensure that they meet University, industry partner, jurisdictional and professional accreditation body compliance requirements.
What you'll do:
Work with the Safety in Practice team, to ensure the smooth operation of the PEP compliance process for students, staff, and industry partners. Use and access professional experience placement management systems within and external to the University, in accordance with the UTAS and College of Health and Medicine guidelines. Coordinate compliance requirements for students (including direct follow-up with students) as they relate to safety in practice, to ensure they meet the University, industry partner, jurisdictional and accreditation body compliance requirements. Follow the timeline of compliance activities within individual disciplines and provide regular reports. Utilise the University's student management systems to obtain student enrolment records, and access data within the system to ensure efficiency of student placement processes. What we're looking for:
Completion of a relevant Diploma level qualification, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. Excellent administrative and organisational skills including the ability to prioritise tasks, process high volume tasks efficiently and effectively, and deliver outcomes to strict deadlines. Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication and client service skills including the ability to liaise with staff, students, and partners. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and harmoniously in a team environment, contributing to team planning and shared tasks with confidence and sensitivity towards others. Demonstrated digital literacy skills including extensive experience in the use of Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook/Teams, in particular the use of shared mailboxes and managing large volumes of email correspondence, experience using Zoom and the ability to work with web-based IT systems. Appointment to this role will be at HEO 4 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $88,479 comprising base salary within the range of $71,387 to $75,623 pro rata plus 17% superannuation.
