Exciting opportunity for a Homewares Senior Buyer to elevate their career with a thriving retailer!
Responsibilities: Product Selection and Development: Identify and source on-trend, high-quality home merchandise that aligns with our clients brand and direction. Conduct market research to stay ahead of industry trends and competitor offerings. Sourcing: Source new fabrics & ingredients following global trends and brand aesthetic. Work with suppliers and design to develop new product offerings. Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement. OTB Management: Collaborate with planning team to optimize stock levels/minimize excess inventory. Monitor product performance and make data-driven recommendations for restocking or discontinuing items. Collaboration: In conjunction with the marketing and visual merchandise teams, develop effective and relevant communications to the consumer. Strategic Planning: Work closely with the merchandising team to develop and execute strategic plans that drive sales and profitability. Contribute to seasonal and promotional planning to maximize revenue opportunities. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with marketing, sales, and other departments to ensure cohesive and effective merchandising strategies. Provide input on product positioning and marketing campaigns. Team Management: Foster collaboration, development, and training. About you: Proven experience as a Senior Buyer with experience in product development within health/homeware. Strong analytical and negotiation skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Strong analytical skills and a depth of experience in consumer insights and research. Demonstrated experience in vendor and supplier management.
