Job Description

The primary focus of this role is to design, develop, and execute automated test suites for our price distribution and sales user interfaces. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software by leveraging your expertise in Java, Cucumber, and Selenium.
How will I help?

As a Java Automation Test Engineer at Westpac, you'll be a vital part of ensuring the quality and reliability of our price distribution and sales user interfaces. Your role will involve:
Developing and maintaining robust automation test frameworks using Java, Cucumber, and Selenium.Creating, executing, and analysing automated test suites to validate software functionality, performance, and reliability.Collaborating with development teams and business analysts to understand product requirements and identify testing needs.Identifying, investigating, and reporting defects to ensure timely resolution.Mentoring and guiding team members in best practices for test automation.Contributing to continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.What do I need? Strong proficiency in the Java programming language.In-depth knowledge of automation test frameworks, particularly Cucumber and Selenium.Experience in building and maintaining automation test frameworks from scratch.Ability to write clear, concise, and well-structured test cases.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.Experience working in an agile development environment.Preferred Skills: Experience in financial markets or related domains.Knowledge of API testing and integration testing.Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.How do I apply?
