We now have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual to join our dynamic team in the College of Healthcare Sciences as a Lecturer in Nursing and Midwifery.
Full-time, fixed term to February 2026 Located at the picturesque Townsville Bebegu Yumba campus, Douglas in tropical North Queensland Academic Level B: $106,593 - $125,774 per annum plus 17% employer superannuation contributions, leave loading and other generous employee benefits. ABOUT THE ROLE
Based at our state-of-the-art clinical teaching facilities in Townsville, you will contribute to the development, coordination and delivery of Nursing and Midwifery curriculum and provide innovative learning activities and assessments that facilitate engaged learning experiences for a diverse range of students. You will conduct face-to-face and online lectures, tutorials, practical classes, demonstrations, workshops, seminars and clinical sessions, and will also play a major role in scholarship and research activities.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
With a postgraduate qualification and current Division 1 nursing registration with AHPRA, you will have experience in learning, teaching, and curriculum development, with a flexible approach to blended and online delivery. A demonstrated ability to identify and address the unique challenges in tropical, regional, remote, rural, and Indigenous nursing and midwifery education is essential to succeed in this rewarding role. With excellent communication skills, you can effectively engage with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and communities.
