Systems Administrator (WinTel) | Major Defence Program | NV1 This stellar Australian product development, technology and engineering services pioneer boasts decades-long, successful partnerships with a number of Commonwealth and military agencies, delivering key capabilities that have global impacts.

Their impressive tech services team currently requires the skills of a confident Systems Administrator who will be responsible for the security and administration of both internal and customer ICT platforms and their associated systems.
In particular, the Systems Administrator will deliver support services on a major Australian Defence sustainment program, working closely with the broader project group, key customer stakeholders, and third-party vendors.

The Systems Administrator will work with tech leadership to design group policies and access controls, develop and document Standard Operating Procedures, oversee network rights, perform security investigations and compliance audits, diagnose faults, and perform systems/server hardware repairs.
You will undertake customer site visits and participate in product demonstrations/workshops.
The Systems Administrator will also undertake periodic after-hours on-call duties operating within a rotating roster (for which you will receive an additional allowance).

The Systems Administrator will ideally bring to the table:
Demonstrated senior experience administrating complex Microsoft server and infrastructure environments Experience overseeing network architectures (Cisco certification highly regarded) Experience with virtualisation platforms and tools The capability to work independently/autonomously as well as effectively collaborate with the team The ability to respond to occasional customer-site callouts as part of the rotating team roster A C Class driver's licence Understanding of cyber security frameworks e.g.
Information Security Manual (ISM) Given the sensitive nature of the information and data environment, the Systems Administrator will hold an active, high level Australian Security Clearance (NV1 as a minimum).
