About the Role This is a Fixed Term Position until January 2028 The role is to exercise independent professional judgement to plan, implement and monitor ITS works to achieve project scope, quality, cost, time, safety and environmental requirements in accordance with relevant policies and toolkits.
Project Delivery -Under supervision, exercise professional judgement to plan, procure, implement and monitor ITS related works to achieve project scope, quality, cost, time, safety and environmental requirements in accordance with relevant policies and toolkits.Business and Commercial Acumen –Under supervision and in accordance with project scope, prepare engineer estimates, program timelines, coordinate and prepare specifications and tender documents, including end to end procurement process to ensure the client's outcome requirements and DTP business objectives are met.Stakeholder Management -Negotiate with and influence key internal and external stakeholders to reach successful outcomes and to ensure the project is progressed.Critical Thinking and Problem Solving -Under supervision, exercise professional judgement to anticipate and assess potential project risks and develop necessary mitigation plans.Influence & Persuasion and Communicate with impact -Negotiate with and influence key internal and external stakeholders to reach successful outcomes and to ensure the project is progressed.Promote and support safe, inclusive and flexible team operations.In line with Section 31A of the Public Administration Act 2004 (Vic) other duties may be assigned consistent with employment classification, skills, and capabilities.Key Selection Criteria To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will effectively execute tasks and manage projects using approved tools while maintaining accurate records.
They will demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, ensuring client needs are met, addressing issues promptly, and conveying information logically and professionally.
Additionally, they will apply critical thinking to solve problems within policy guidelines, understand business impacts, and maintain awareness of stakeholder needs and team dynamics.
Personal Attributes On a personal level, the candidate must be open to new ideas, resilient in overcoming challenges, and disciplined in adhering to planned tasks.
They should demonstrate accountability, align their work with organizational objectives, and remain committed to achieving effective outcomes.
