Job Description Summary
Support us with Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) projects across Victoria.
About the Role
We are looking for an ITS Program Manager to join our team to manage the planned maintenance and capital works tasks of intelligent transport systems projects (ITS) across Victoria. This role will have a home base at our site in Williamstown.
In this role, you will oversee safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of Victorian Managed Motorways capital works, on time and within budget. You will be an established leader who drives for service excellence and continuous improvement. You will be a potential successor to the ITS Delivery Manager and will have regular opportunities to perform this role in an Acting capacity, as part of a structured career development program.
Key responsibilities will include:
Onboarding, training and Verification of Competency for all Planned Works Delivery team members, including Delivery Partner (subcontractor) personnel.
Engaging and managing approved/preferred local delivery partners to deliver capital works projects, ensuring appropriate resourcing capacity and capability to deliver to the program.
Developing the program of capital works, working closely with the delivery team to schedule and complete works in line with the PM program while minimising impacts on road users and communities, and maximising resource utilisation.
Leading the team and carrying out day-to-day activity and performance management of the capital works team, with a strong focus on safety, quality and efficiency.
Defining, implementing and continually refining the ITS capital works delivery program in line with contractual requirements and data management standards.
Liaising with client on a regular basis to ensure we are meeting their expectations, maintaining relations through quality output.
About YouOur ideal candidate will have:
Demonstrated experience in capital works project planning and delivery in the ITS environment, ideally with a few years' experience leading delivering projects.
Extensive experience managing internal workforces and delivery partners to deliver services to specification, program and cost.
An inclusive approach to managing and developing your team, underpinned by an ability to make best-for-Contract decisions within your span of control.
Knowledge of ITS and network management practices, including access, permit and licensing requirements for ITS maintenance operations.
Exceptional time-management skills and a proven ability to maintain effective, professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
A proactive lead-indicator approach to minimising quality, safety and environmental risks and incidents.
Valid driver's licence.
Formal qualifications in a technical discipline are a bonus, but not essential if you can demonstrate equivalent knowledge and capability.
