Purpose of the role The ITAM Analyst role supports the Operations Centre Team in delivering efficient, secure, and reliable services to customers, with a focus on quality and process improvement, including contributing to ITAM-related project initiatives.
The role Configuration Analysis: Perform operational tasks, engage in strategic projects, mentor on SCM services, and identify service improvement opportunities.
Hardware Asset Analysis: Record and maintain assets, monitor asset repository accuracy, and assist with audits and reporting.
Software Asset Management: Maintain software asset data, resolve discrepancies, analyze data, and assist with software reconciliation and compliance remediation.
Stockroom Management: Validate product deliveries, resolve discrepancies, manage inventory, and ensure timely procurement.
Customer Service: Deliver quality service in a fast-paced environment and contribute to team development through training and knowledge sharing.
Project Delivery: Take responsibility for assigned projects, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
Collaboration: Act as a liaison between business, technology teams, and service providers.
What experience you'll bring Essential: Experience in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
IT Asset Management and Discovery Tools expertise.
Basic knowledge of major vendor licensing (e.g., Oracle, Microsoft).
ELP preparation and analysis skills.
Strong reporting, documentation, and analytical abilities.
Organized, self-motivated, and focused on delivering value and increasing ROI.
Proven experience in audit defense remediation and negotiation.
Ability to develop, implement, and evolve policies, processes, and procedures.
Excellent communication, customer service, and negotiation skills, with the ability to simplify technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
Preferred: ServiceNow ITAM qualification and IAITAM certification.
Experience with licensing for key vendors (Oracle, VMWare, Google, Microsoft, IBM).
ITIL Foundation Certification.
Tertiary qualifications in IT or related fields.
Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements, including Australian Privacy Act and APRA guidelines.
