It Test Analyst

The Test Analyst will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing test plans and test cases to ensure the quality and reliability of mainframe applications written in COBOL.The Test Analyst will work closely with development teams to understand the functionality and requirements of the applications, and to identify potential issues and risks.The Test Analyst will also document test results, report defects, and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues.Mandatory Requirements Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related fieldProven experience in mainframe testing, with a focus on COBOL applicationsStrong knowledge of mainframe testing methodologies and COBOL programmingExperience with testing tools such as IBM Rational Test Manager or Micro Focus ALMExperience in Mainframe test automationExcellent communication and collaboration skillsAttention to detail and strong problem-solving abilitiesDesired Attributes and Skills Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and mainframe modernization projectsFamiliarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for mainframe applicationsKnowledge of other programming languages, such as Java or PythonExperience with mainframe virtualization technologies, such as z/VM or z/OS LPARsKey Responsibilities Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts for mainframe applications written in COBOLDesign and execute manual and automated tests, including integration tests, and system testsDocument test results and report defects using appropriate tools and processesCollaborate with development teams to resolve issues and improve application qualityParticipate in code reviews and testing activitiesStay up to date with industry trends and best practices in mainframe testing and COBOL programming
