The IT Technical Team Lead will supervise and guide a vibrant team of support specialists. This position demands a hands-on active leader who can mentor the team, manage IT projects, and guarantee high-quality technical support across the organization. The ideal candidate should possess up-to-date and pertinent technical skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and be capable of nurturing a cooperative team atmosphere.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Technical Support
Provide hands-on support for more complex requests and issues, implementing and documenting solutions to prevent future occurrences. Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work. Manage asset inventory, coordinate purchases and handle monthly billing reporting. Oversee IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget, while meeting the organization's standards. Provide advanced technical guidance to the IT team and other employees. Ensure high levels of customer service and satisfaction, this includes open communication with the end user, while providing proactive updates regarding their requests. Infrastructure and Systems
Oversee the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and related systems. Perform routine system monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and up-time. Plan and execute system upgrades, patches, and configuration changes. Participate in cybersecurity and risk mitigation, including implementing and maintaining security protocols to protect the IT infrastructure from cyber threats, ensuring data integrity and compliance. Provide advanced technical support and guidance to the team. Lead, mentor, and supervise the IT team. Stay up to date with the latest technologies and trends in Information Technology. Coordinate and prioritize team tasks and projects to ensure efficient and effective service delivery. Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and provide continuous feedback and development opportunities. Training and Process Improvement
Leverage automation and reduce required touchpoints. Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to improve efficiency and service delivery. Maintain comprehensive documentation of systems, processes, and procedures. Prepare and present regular reports on system performance, issues, and project progress. Partner with the training department to design training programs and workshops for the organization as new systems are being launched. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Five (5) years of experience in system and network administration Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role. Microsoft 365 Certifications (considered an asset) Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, network protocols, and security principles. Proficiency in managing virtualization technologies (e.g. Hyper-V). Experience with cloud services (e.g.Azure). Remote access related systems, VPN, MDM, 2FA, Entra/Active Directory, DNS, DHCP WIFI, Radius Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, CompTIA) are highly desirable. Excellent communication skills; Fluent French (in Québec) and English (oral & written) required. This position will be working with global partners across the globe and working with members in Australia. Strong listening skills, very customer focused and professional. Proven abilities to apply good judgement, ethical practice and decision making skills. Detail oriented, ability to apply analytical thinking and problem solving skills.
