About the Role:
Passionate about ICT? Work within a dedicated Secondary school setting located in Williamstown in a full-time ongoing role beginning in Term 4. Teach within a small ICT faculty, instructing students in years 7-12. Be part of a community-oriented school in Williamstown/Altona for a Term 4 contract with the possibility of extending it into 2025.

Key duties: Design and deliver lessons aligned with the Victorian Curriculum and the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) standards, ensuring students achieve learning outcomes.Teach subjects related to Information Technology (IT), including but not limited to programming, web development, databases, networking, cybersecurity, and digital technologies.Identify and support students with varying learning needs, including those with learning difficulties or advanced abilities. Provide additional resources or adjust teaching methods as necessary.Stay updated with the latest trends in technology and education by attending professional development sessions, workshops, and conferences.Manage and maintain the IT resources within the classroom, including hardware, software, and online tools. Ensure that these resources are functional and up-to-date.Organize and supervise extracurricular activities such as coding clubs, robotics teams, or participation in IT-related competitions.Skills & Experience: Must have unrestricted working rights in AustraliaCurrent VIT registrationDemonstrate previous experience in teaching ICT in a Secondary School settingAbility to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).Must be ready to start 7/10/24 (Term 4).Offering: Teaching ICT to students in years 7-12Work across campuses in Altona, Newport and WilliamstownJoin a school community that is actively growing and evolvingCommencement from Term 4 in a fixed contract with possible extension in 2025Receiving a salary commensurate with your demonstrated expertise, within the range of $75,000 to $115,000 (FT)The School: Three large campuses, within Williamstown, Newport and Altona NorthApproachable management team and smaller team structuresWell respected school within the local communityCollaborative planning model with professional development opportunitiesHow to apply:
