Job DescriptionAbout the Role As a result of continuous company growth, GPA is looking for an enthusiastic IT Support Officer to join our Perth team.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a high performing and growing team to develop your skills to the next level.
Part of the recruitment process for this position is to provide a guided 2-3 minute video introduction of yourself (via Willo); a link to the Willo portal will be shared with you if your application is successful in the first instance.The successful candidate will be required to spend 3 months in Adelaide head office at the expense of GPA to meet and learn from the IT Team.Key Duties Answering Helpdesk TicketsIdentify and address security threats and promote cyber security awareness within the business.Complete periodic compliance activities.Maintain equipment, software and related inventories; coordinate hardware and software purchasing.Provide in-person desktop support to the Perth office.General Networking support.Coordinate communication between Perth staff and Adelaide IT Staff.Desired Skills and ExperienceIdeally, your skills and experience will include the following: Good communication and interpersonal skillsA willingness to pick up the phone in order to resolve IT helpdesk ticketsA positive attitude and willingness to learn new skillsUnderstanding of Microsoft Windows and Office suiteSelf-motivated and able to work independentlyDesired Skills An IT Diploma or equivalentUnderstanding of PC/laptop troubleshooting and repairKnowledge of Windows Server and Hyper-V virtualization infrastructureKnowledge of Windows Active DirectoryA good understanding of networking technologies (VLANs, VPN tunnels, DHCP, DNS, etc)Knowledge of audio/visual and teleconference systemsA requirement for this role is to complete a satisfactory pre-employment medical and Australian police clearance.
