About the Role
As a Support Engineer, your primary focus will be on troubleshooting and resolving issues within Linux-based environments using command shell, alongside managing and optimizing databases with PL-SQL through Toad. This position is ideal for a technical, customer-oriented professional who thrives in dynamic, rapidly evolving settings.
Key Responsibilities: Incident Resolution: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to Linux command shell environments and PL-SQL databases using Toad, escalating to specialized teams when necessary. Service Management: Ensure all incidents are addressed within SLA timeframes, maintain comprehensive documentation, and contribute to continuous service improvement initiatives. Client Communication: Act as the primary liaison for clients, delivering high-quality support and effectively managing client expectations. Software Customization: Assist in configuring and customizing software, including handling installations, programming tasks, and follow-ups to ensure optimal performance. Training & Collaboration: Mentor new team members and collaborate with global teams to share knowledge, enhance processes, and drive collective success. Trend Analysis: Monitor support trends and proactively address recurring issues to support long-term service enhancements and reliability. Skills and Experience: Linux Command Shell Expertise: Advanced proficiency in using the Linux command shell for system administration, troubleshooting, and automation tasks. PL-SQL with Toad: Strong skills in PL-SQL for database management and troubleshooting, with hands-on experience using Toad for SQL development and optimization. Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with programming languages such as C or C++ is advantageous but not mandatory. Customer Focus: Exceptional communication skills with a strong dedication to providing excellent customer service. Problem-Solving Ability: Ability to adapt to diverse challenges, take initiative, and devise creative solutions under pressure.
