Our client is forward thinking and dynamic local council dedicated to serving their local community. They are seeking a highly qualified and experienced IT Strategy Lead to join their team as they embark on a significant technology transformation and to drive the IT Strategy.
Reporting into the Head of Technology you will play a crucial role in guiding the council's technology function and developing robust strategies and security measures to ensure the integrity, resilience and efficiency of their IT systems.
More specifically you'll be responsible for:
Development and execution of the IT strategy ensuring alignment with the organisation's goals Provide expertise in enterprise security, Data Automation, IT policy, risk management and regulatory compliance. Design and guide the implementation of effective security measures and controls to safeguard the technology environment Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain the Councils enterprise architecture. Mentor and guide the Business stakeholders to achieve their strategic objectives Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation within the organisation You will have demonstrated hands on experience in enterprise security, enterprise data and automation, enterprise architecture, IT risk management and strategy. You will have a proven track record of designing, developing and executing effective security measures, controls, IT strategies and architectural frameworks within complex organisations.
You will have 4 direct reports and have strong leadership abilities that allow you to motivate and inspire your team whilst fostering collaboration and innovation across the technology function.
