What does the job look like?
The IT Security Operations Lead will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing Linfox's cyber security operations.
This role requires a strategic and hands-on leader to ensure the protection of Linfox's information systems against cyber threats.
The IT Security Operations Lead will manage a team of cyber security professionals, coordinate incident response activities, and implement security measures to safeguard critical assets.
This role involves close collaboration with other IT and security teams to maintain a robust security posture.
Located in Essendon Fields, Victoria, the role supports the business functions across Australia and New Zealand with specific accountabilities to:
Leadership and Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage the cyber security operations team, including security analysts and incident response specialists.
Develop and implement training programs to build team expertise and ensure alignment with best practices.
Cyber Security Operations: Oversee daily operations of security monitoring, incident detection, and response activities.
Implement and manage security information and event management (SIEM) systems, Identity Governance (IGA), Privileged Access Management (PAM) and other security tools.
Security Strategy and Improvement: Develop and implement security operations strategies and policies to address evolving threats and compliance requirements.
Evaluate and recommend security tools, technologies, and processes to enhance security posture.
Are you the one?
You will have a deep understanding of infrastructure, and cyber security principles, practices, and technologies including expertise in security monitoring and management and tools (e.g., SIEM, IGA, PAM), threat intelligence, and incident management.
The successful candidate will have knowledge of network and system security, cryptography, and vulnerability management and be able to lead a team to support and drive best practices within this field.
Bachelor's degree in cyber security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are highly desirable.
Proven experience in managing security operations, incident response, and security toolsets.
Several years' experience in cyber security operations, with most recent role in leadership.
Preferred experience working in transport, logistics, industrial, energy or resources sector.
