We are currently looking for an experienced IT Security Analyst, accountable for maintenance, operations, administration, configuration and implementation of various IT Security controls.
Please note: This is a 6-month Fixed Term Contract with a possibility of an extension. About the opportunity: The IT Security analyst will be responsible for contributing to the incident response, penetration testing, disaster recovery, security awareness/end user education, audits, development of policies, procedures, user guides, and communications.
An ideal candidate will have experience working with various IT Security solutions including but not limited to Web, Email, Network, Cloud, Endpoint, data protection; mobile device management, Identity and Access management, and backups.
An analyst will work in line with IT Security frameworks like ACSC Essential Eight, ISO 27001, NIST as well as ITIL.
Relevant IT Security certifications, e.g.
from ISC2, ISACA, GIAC, CompTIA, Microsoft, IT Security vendors, will ideally support respective experience and knowledge.
Key accountabilities: Supporting the set-up, enhancement, alteration, and testing of system configuration within the designated IT Security controls in response to day-to-day and project demands and issuesPerforming the tasks of maintenance, administration, and management of IT Security controls in technology, processes, and people areasWorking with users and other specialists to define the requirements of IT Security controls and specify an optimum design for their implementation, configuration, and roll-outAddressing IT Security issues, incidents, and requests raised through the Enterprise Service Desk Support, Incident Management, and various IT Security technology controlsHunting threats and investigating alerts from various IT Security controlsDeveloping documentation and communications about IT Security solutions, changes, improvements, and impactsInfluencing architectural decisions and implementing and managing IT infrastructureDetermining where tasks can be automated and developing solutions where requiredTypical experience and qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in the relevant area of studyNegotiation, conflict management, and interpersonal skillsIn return: Competitive remunerationSalary packagingParental leaveFlexible work arrangements include a hybrid working modelInterested?
