Due to substantial growth of the QinetiQ business, QinetiQ's IT organisation is evolving to provide the technology and IT services that will underpin QinetiQ's future global strategy and ambitions. We are now accepting applications for two (2) IT Security Analysts with flexibility to be based in either Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra or Melbourne.
Reporting to the CISO, the IT Security Analysts will work closely with QinetiQ's IT and Security teams to provide specialist security analysis, advice and technical expertise to help protect QinetiQ's assets from cyber threats.
The IT Security Analyst you will be accountable for:
Monitoring, investigating and responding to cyber security events and alerts Assisting/Conducting technical vulnerability and risk assessments Assisting with vulnerability management across QinetiQ's IT networks Monitoring and hunting for suspicious or anomalous activities Contributing to and upholding QinetiQ's cybersecurity policies and practices Supporting the business with advice and understanding of cyber security risks and issues Supporting the IT operational teams with the design and implementation of new cybersecurity technologies As a suitably experienced and well-rounded IT professional, the IT Security Analyst will need to bring with them:
Solid experience in a similar IT Security role Experience with vulnerability and risk management processes and their execution Experience in the collection, presentation and analysis of information Proven experience with security and application patching Experience working with technologies including: Microsoft M365/Azure platforms Microsoft Active Directory and Windows Network environments Vulnerability management technologies, such as Nessus, Qualys, etc. SIEM, such as Splunk Sound understanding of network fundamentals such as TCP/IP, DHCP and DNS Highly developed communication and engagement skills, with the ability to deal with people at all levels of an organisation including liaising with a wide range of diverse IT & business stakeholders A good understanding and awareness of information & cyber security and how it is applied in operational environments Knowledge and understanding of ITIL principles Whilst not essential, a tertiary qualification in computer science, cyber security or information technology and certifications such as SANS, CISSP, CCSP and/or CompTIA Security+ qualifications would be advantageous.
