IT Project Manager Location: 2 days Work from home; 3 days on site near Town Hall.
Contract: 12 months initially - Potential to extend Join a dynamic team in the heart of Sydney, leading initiatives to mature and optimise technical capabilities.
This is an opportunity to work on building consistent processes across in-house IT systems and technologies.
Key Responsibilities Proactive Monitoring: Design and implement dashboards that provide early warnings and actionable insights.
Test Automation: Evaluate and improve current tools, practices, processes, and team skills.
Provide training to lift overall capability.
Release Management: Drive automation and CI/CD processes, enhancing DevOps practices.
Collaborate with technical stakeholders, BAs, and IT business owners to strategies, prioritise, and execute key system improvements.
Focus on maturing internal systems, ensuring they are supported, maintained, and adaptable to changing needs.
Ideal Background You started as a Software Developer , progressing to roles like Test Analyst , Support Analyst , IT Business Analyst , and now Project Manager .
Extensive experience managing end-to-end in-house application development projects .
Strong technical expertise, including a deep understanding of automation , release management , CI/CD pipelines , and DevOps practices.
Proven experience in strategies and building consistent processes within an in-house IT environment.
Key Attributes Exceptional communication skills, especially when working with technical stakeholders.
A proactive approach to identifying, prioritising , and addressing technical challenges.
Ability to up skill teams through training and process improvements.
